Federated Media is a media agency located in Indiana. They offer services like radio broadcasting, outdoor advertising, newspaper advertising, etc. I believe the town is very small and no big effort is necessary to run the business where Federated Media is located. However, there are some things that they can improve in terms of design of website and content visibility.
1. Home? Not the button to refresh everything when I get lost in the website.
The home is not attractive. In terms of design, it is a little boring and the pictures in the left remind me of old-fashioned business PowerPoint.
At the menu, home button has 4 sub menus: listeners highlight, advertiser highlight, employee highlight, community highlight.
The location of these sub-menu seems wrong. They can create a highlight menu aside and have the four listed. Home should be a home button alone.
And when I click each highlight, nothing is interesting in terms of content. Also, how they put pictures is awkward.
In the listeners highlight section, the lady’s picture is vertically expanded. Advertiser highlights doesn’t even have a picture where a website visitor would expect to have one there.
2. Wow, you have a long history.
There are some pictures, but it is not enough compared to the excessive words, looking like a history assignment. If this is what website owner wants to present, the paragraphs might add headings with years in a bigger and colorful font.
3. Advertising tab gets a pop-up.
The advertising tab doesn’t belong to Federatedmedia.com. It got me to new window in my Chrome browser. Therefore, it feels that this pop-up advertising tap is not cohesive with the website. I didn’t read the content thoroughly, but I didn’t expect something different or irrelative is said here.
4. No social media? Contact is boring!
This is a media agency. They should feature some social networking services so that its customers can interact with the company as well as feel that this agency owns up-to-date skills to appeal audiences.
